A magnificent pair of Percussion Officer’s pistols with captive rammers by Joseph Kemp of 31 Duke Street, Grosvenor Square, in their maker’s green baize lined, fiddle back, mahogany case with most accessories.

The pistols are of musket bore, ie. 69. They are full stocked with graceful hammers and bolted bar action locks.  The twist barrels are ovate in form.

The pistols retain most of their original finish with the exception of gun number 2 where the blue finish to the trigger guard has faded.  On the first gun the case hardening finish is substantial and the trigger guard retains its blue.

The barrels retain their original brown finish to the twist with some staining and marking.  The stocks retain their original polish and the patch chequering is as made.

The case contains the original plenished iron flask by Frith and Company which is virtually as made.  One compartment cover is missing.
